ESPN Calls Jeremy Lin a Chink

Jeremy Lin went from almost being released by his third NBA team to the sensational savior to the New York Knicks, who has suddenly become one of the powers in the Eastern Conference within several weeks. I could talk about his amazing run he's had, literally out of nowhere. But here is the interesting story.

After the Knicks lost to the Hornets, ESPN published a headline that wasn't so tasteful. I am Asian, but I thought the pun was more funny than offensive. But you can see why the person(s) who wrote that was promptly fired, with ESPN issuing a quick apology. "Chink" is probably an equivalent of the "N-word".
